Just a day after reports revealed that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner found it somewhat strange that their daughter, Violet Affleck, spent time with Jennifer Lopez‘s sister, Lynda, sources say Lopez is eager to continue fostering a bond with the Affleck children. According to People, Lopez remains in touch with Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel.
“Jennifer keeps in touch with the Affleck kids,” an insider shared. “Her whole family loves them. She wants them to know that they can always reach out if they need anything at all.”
The source continued, saying that Lopez is “doing well” and wants to stay focused on the future—her new movie, Unstoppable, is out in December. They also reminded fans that the divorce is still being finalized.
“Jennifer is doing well. She doesn’t dwell on the past,” they added. “She’s so grateful for everything that she has. The divorce is still being worked out.”
The global icon, 55, who filed for divorce from Ben, 52, in August, continues to stay in touch with his children—Violet Anne, 18, Seraphina Rose, 15, and Samuel, 12—from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner.
“Jennifer is doing well. She doesn’t dwell on the past. She’s so grateful for everything that she has. The divorce is still being worked out,” said a source.
The source added, “Jennifer keeps in touch with the Affleck kids. Her whole family loves them. She wants them to know that they can always reach out if they need anything at all.”
Ben praised Jennifer as “spectacular” while discussing her role in the upcoming wrestling biopic Unstoppable, where she plays the mother of a wrestling champion.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, he drew parallels between Unstoppable and Small Things Like These, highlighting Jennifer’s impressive performance.
Jennifer and Ben’s love story seemed like something straight out of a fairytale, but it was not meant to have a fairytale ending. Their romance, which first captured the public’s attention in the early 2000s, had a second chapter when they rekindled their love and tied the knot in 2022. However, their marriage came to a sudden end in August 2024, when Jennifer filed for divorce, citing April 26 as their date of separation.
Reports from May revealed that the couple was no longer living together in their Los Angeles home. Ben had been staying at a different property while working on The Accountant 2. Although the two were spotted together at various events throughout the spring, they spent much of the summer living on opposite coasts.
In June, Jennifer and Ben put their Beverly Hills mansion, which they had shared since June 2023, on the market. By July, Ben had purchased a new $20 million home in Los Angeles. Now, the couple is navigating the process of finalizing their divorce.
